Simon Weitzman - Director

Simon Weitzman was born a stone's throw away from where Paul McCartney lived in St John's Wood, London on same the day he first had the idea for Magical Mystery Tour in 1967. He is 5 foot 9 in. tall, has brown eyes and what’s left of his brown hair, he attended Orange Hill Comprehensive School, London and Bournemouth & Poole College Of Art & Design.
He likes the colour black, chow mein, chocolate and profiteroles and follows the work of The Beatles, Elvis, Joni Mitchell, David Bowie, Queen, Simon & Garfunkel, Weezer and Nirvana. A long list of favourite film stars includes the names of Humphrey Bogart, Greta Scaachi, Bill Murray, Sigourney Weaver, Peter Sellers and Chloe Grace Moretz. He reads the works of Spike Milligan and Winston Groom. He likes to wear black T-shirts, blue jeans, heavy black boots and baseball caps.
Simon plays a bass guitar in much the same way that an experimental jazz musician gathers a group of instruments together before throwing themselves down the stairs. He spends his spare time writing, painting, creating sculptures, listening to the radio, mucking about and pointing at things. His ambitions include finishing this film, hopefully doing another one or six for fans and giving the planet back to its rightful owners, animals. His next project will be a film about the Beatles for cats.
